ACCT STUDENT ASSOCIATE APPLICATION

Why become a student associate?

We welcome psychotherapy and counselling students to join our community. We hope that it provides insight into the profession and relevant topics that our community is discussing. It is a place to learn and meet new people.

Requirements to be eligible to apply as a Student Associate with ACCT:

  • Student applicants must be currently registered in an applied counselling training program that meets current ACCT education criteria, with a minimum of 3 months remaining in their program until graduation.
  • For those that have three months or less until completion of their counselling program, please wait until you have completed your program and apply for RTCc (RTC Candidate)

  • Student Associates are non-voting persons of ACCT, and do not require the $100 Share Fee for our Cooperative Association.
  • Students may attend meetings and join the ACCT community, however they are not able to vote, or be elected to the Board, or join any ACCT committees as a Volunteer until they receive the Designation of Registered Therapeutic Counsellor - Candidate (RTCc) or Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) member.
